Our client is looking for a Tax Manager for a Permanent, Full-time position.

Location: Canberra, ACT

Mandatory Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens.

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Review and submit Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS)
  • Handle Fringe Benefits Tax returns
  • Manage Individual and Consolidated Tax returns
  • Address ATO Top 500 Performance Program requirements
  • Ensure Division 7A compliance
  • Oversee UK Establishment and associated tax obligations
  • Provide strategic tax advice to Executives and Management
  • Stay updated on changing tax legislation and its impact on the Group
  • Manage relationships with key external tax advisors
  • Ensure tax-effective management of the Group's affairs
  • Complete all accounting requirements timely for different entities including:
    • Check coding and descriptions of accounts payable invoices
    • Communicate regularly with key personnel
    • Prepare monthly management financial reports and cash flow reconciliations
    • Analyze financial and accounting data
    • Complete monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet items
    • Prepare monthly BAS's and annual budgets
    • Maintain asset registers
    • Meet year-end financial reporting requirements
