About the role

The Account Manager is responsible for seeking out new business and developing existing business across the digital, social, and experiential spaces.

You will be the primary point of contact for our clients, responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

You will work closely with our sales team to develop and implement effective strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales targets.
  • Conduct market research to understand client needs and industry trends.\
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales deals.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client onboarding.
  • Track and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Attend key events and networking opportunities
  • Drive the full sales and partnerships cycle Work with sales support including the Ad Ops, Campaign Management, Creative Solutions and Editorial teams.

Skills & Experience

This role depends upon excellent interpersonal communication skills, creative thinking, entrepreneurial mindset, strong project management skills and sector knowledge - all of which Time Out expects will continuously develop with time in the role.

You will be passionate about the advertising industry, have deep connections in NSW Agencies, and be a strong people/experience oriented professional.


  • 3 + years media sales experience in publishing 1+ years people management experience (desirable)
