This is a month contract position. The Finance Manager - Projects will support the GM Finance - Pinnacle Drinks and the Head of Finance - Wine with strategic projects for Pinnacle and the broader finance team. The role will also support the Financial Control Manager with ensuring internal controls are implemented and adhered to, and providing assurance over balance sheet and financial integrity.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role

  • Provide support to GM Finance - Pinnacle Drinks and Head of Finance - Wine to deliver on strategic projects identified by the Pinnacle Leadership Team.
  • Assist Financial Control Manager with reviewing current processes and provide recommendations for control and efficiency improvements, then assist with implementing agreed recommendations.
  • Review current use of Microsoft D365/Power BI and identify opportunities to align Pinnacle business and implement agreed recommendations.
  • Drive the planning and implementation of the Finance component of Microsoft D365 for existing winery and vineyard operations, including identifying opportunities for new ways of working and training.
  • Assist Financial Control Manager to review and approve balance sheet reconciliations for Pinnacle businesses.

Qualifications

  • CA/CPA with minimum 5 years post qualification experience
  • Previous transformation and change management experience
  • Strong technical accounting skills incl. understanding and interpretation of accounting standards
  • Experience with managing a group of 3 or more companies
  • Experience with managing a large team
  • Finance team leadership experience
  • High attention to detail and ability to deliver on strict deadlines
  • Business project management experience
  • Some travel required (if not based in SA)
