About the Role The Safety Manager will play a crucial role on the Logan Hospital Expansion project by implementing and controlling safety management requirements, strategies, and initiatives.

Leading a team of HSES professionals and working closely with the Project Leadership Team and other key stakeholders, their expertise and dedication to maintaining a safe workplace will contribute to the overall success of the project.


Responsibilities of the role include:
Provide technical support to the Project Leadership Team to develop and implement an effective culture that is focused on HSC
Drive, monitor, report and continuously improve HSC performance for the project
Develop and implement HSC education as well as compliance and improvement programs for employees, clients, contractors and visitors
Develop and guide project safety professionals
Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant legal, regulatory and company safety requirements

What we are looking for:
Advanced Diploma Safety in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent Safety Lead Auditor Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Quality, Safety, Environmental, Project Management or other associated disciplines TAE Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Construction safety management (5+ years) Audit management practices (2-3 years)
Quantitative and qualitative risk assessment and monitoring of risk controls and actions involved in delivery and implementation of projects
Knowledge of Safety legislation and statutes (especially those relating to Comcare), and ability to interpret any applicable statutes or legislation relevant to Project
Knowledge of Environmental legislation and statutes, and ability to interpret any applicable statutes or legislation relevant to Project
