We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Lead to join our team at Primary Connect, a leading food and retail supply chain network in Australia and New Zealand. As a key member of our Operational and Safety, Health & Wellbeing (SH&W) team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of our SH&W system and associated programs and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Promote safety values and implement safety, health and environment policies and systems to embed safety into the culture and ways of working.
- Deliver timely, accurate, and quality assured safety performance data to business, including supporting external benchmarking activities and analysis of such data.
- Implement, maintain and improve Safety, Wellbeing and Environment programs, systems, tools and training.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide advice during change management processes.
- Liaise with key stakeholders to support the investigation of incidents, determine root causes and corrective actions and share investigation learnings to prevent recurrence.
- Conduct first line of defence audits and support close out of any gaps.
- Sound experience and working knowledge of safety legislation, codes of practice and standards.
- Incident Investigation experience – ICAM or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver risk assessments and manage change in the delivery of SH&W initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, internally and externally.
- Consultative and innovative approach to deliver best practice outcomes.
- Implementation of risk management programs.
