Melbourne, Victoria, Australia IBM Full time
Introduction

At IBM, work is more than a job - it's a calling: To build. To design. To code. To consult. To think along with clients and sell. To make markets. To invent. To collaborate. Not just to do something better, but to attempt things you've never thought possible.

Are you ready to lead in this new era of technology and solve some of the world's most challenging problems? If so, lets talk.

Your Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking individuals with business and technology consulting experience, combined with project management experience, to implement SaaS solutions for our customers.

Engagement Managers own and lead customer engagements and function as integrator between business needs and technology solutions. Your efforts will directly impact the value realized by the customer and the ultimate success of the relationship.

This role will work closely with customers and the Apptio Field Delivery team to project manage the deployment and roll out of customer solutions.

If you have the passion and energy to work in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment, you are the person we are looking for

  • Own and lead multiple, simultaneous customer engagements implementing the Apptio SaaS solution, following Apptio methodology and utilizing project management best practices
  • Develop effective and productive customer relationships that enable Apptio to become a trusted advisor for our customer's IT executives
  • Provide both engagement and TBM leadership to the customer
  • Provide business acumen for customers and strive to understand the business problem we are solving in order to best deploy the solution and exceed customer expectations
  • Gather functional and business requirements from client and translate into a functional design that aligns to customer needs and defined project scope, resulting in a successful deployment and adoption of the Apptio solution
  • Manage project team activities and oversee completion of deliverables, managing schedules, meeting milestones, and ensuring technical success
  • Work with the product management and development organization to channel client feedback and solutions into future releases of the Apptio product suite
  • Collaborate with other departments in the company to achieve customer satisfaction and resolve customer issues in a timely fashion
Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 8+ years of system implementation or consulting experience with at least five years as a senior consultant or project manager
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, MIS, Finance or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated project management skills and proven ability to execute against a defined methodology and deliver projects within scope, budget, and timeline
  • Role is open for both Sydney and Melbourne locations
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Previous Customer Success experience
  • Willing to learn and "get your hands dirty" on the technical components of a product
  • Experience working within a SaaS organisation
  • Energetic personality working within a team environment
  • IT Industry domain expertise
  • Knowledge of corporate finance processes and operations
