Community Engagement Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Community Engagement Manager to join our team at AusNet Services. As a key member of our Community Engagement and Land Planning Team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our community and stakeholder engagement efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic engagement plans to ensure effective communication with communities and stakeholders.
- Lead a team to deliver engagement strategies, including developing targeted communication campaigns and managing community and stakeholder engagement activities and events.
- Represent and present AusNet's position on priority and emerging issues to communities and the Energy sector.
- Provide advice to AusNet's Corporate Affairs and Communications team and ensure that media releases and responses are relevant, accurate, and consistent in messaging.
- Create and deliver a proactive narrative around energy infrastructure to effectively communicate to key stakeholders, reduce risk, and clarify AusNet's objectives.
- Lead the development of a one AusNet approach to Community and Stakeholder Engagement by creating a Centre of Excellence for the organisation.
- Tertiary degree (Bachelor level) or certificate or relevant experience in a field such as public relations, journalism, stakeholder management, or marketing.
- Community Engagement Qualification such as IAP2 certification.
- Diploma or Masters of Project Management, Certificate IV Safety.
- Proven experience in a Community and Stakeholder Engagement or Communications role.
- Multi-discipline experience, e.g. corporate communications, stakeholder relations, marketing communications.
- Experience in leading project or specialist function activities.
- Relevant experience gained within major organisations - relevant sector, government or consultancy.
- Relevant experience in critical capital infrastructure projects ($1Bn+).
