  • We're looking for a Junior Photographer to join our team to help us bring the People experience to new heights.
  • At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Our people. Bringing our people and their personalities to life through our amazing staff portraits. Capturing our vibrant culture through celebrations, events and peak moments around our hubs.

Strategy. Partner with our Brand Designer and Strategist to build and develop Canva's visual identity for an internal audience, weaving the creative red thread through your work to bring Canva's people experience to life.

Ways of working. Working with the Brand Creative Team, Vibe and our Program Manager, determine how we best collaborate and align with Canva's processes and cadences to make Canva's staff portraits a Peak Moment for Canvanauts.

Experiences. Making the Canva experience come to life through event photography - capturing the day-to-day moments, all the way through to the big events.
- **This is a 1 year contract (full-time), with opportunities for transitioning to permanent or extension for the right fit

You'll probably be a match if:


  • Your photography captures the essence of people and culture. Your portfolio showcases strong photography and editing craft; creative thinking & attention to detail; a style & aesthetic that is people-centred and engaging.

You are a collaborator. Working in the People Team, you're often not working with people who have experience working with creative teams before, which means that sometimes, you have to go the extra mile to ask the right questions.

You like a little bit of ambiguity. We're a new (but great) team and we're still figuring stuff out. Being OK with that is key to this role, we don't have all the loose ends tied up out but we work together to get there and achieve the best possible outcome.

**About the team: - The People Brand, Community and Engagement Team consists of three core teams, Talent Brand, Seed, and Engagement - our small but mighty creative team.
