About You:

  • Although not mandatory, qualifications or industry experience in Land Act administration, tenure conversion, leasing, property valuation and Native Title and Cultural Heritage will be beneficial.
  • Experience in leading the delivery of highquality property advice, including the development of appropriate service responses to meet the identified needs of stakeholders to ensure quality service delivery outcomes are achieved.
  • Strong research skills and welldeveloped written skills, including report and brief writing.
  • Awareness and understanding of relevant legislation and policy which impact upon a Queensland Government property portfolio.
  • Your willingness to stay connected to industry updates and networks, ability to be proactive and forward thinking, with a strong motivation to work towards organisational objectives will assist your success in this role.
The Principal Infrastructure Services Officer (Leasing, Tenure and Operational Services) will:

  • Provide timely, independent specialist property advice (including translating the department's whole of Government obligations for property management into practical and sustainable strategies, identifying emerging issues and developing and implementing departmental plans) to key stakeholders within and external to the department.
  • Lead and manage the implementation of property programs including acquisition, disposal and leasing of departmental properties in accordance with government guidelines, and other operational activities carried out by Property Services.
  • Analyse potential risks, opportunities and strengths in current portfolio and ensures consistency in decision making, providing learnings for future site selection and land acquisition.
  • Identify legislative and policy obligations and seeks to improve operating model within the Division.
  • Develop and sustain productive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholder groups, including other Property Services teams of Strategic Advisory, Acquisition & Divestment, property owners, regional infrastructure advisors and across government departments.


When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
