The Opportunity

We are seeking a Principal Structural Design Engineer to provide technical expertise for the development of infrastructure for substations. As a key member of our engineering team, you will contribute to the successful delivery of structural design requirements of substations, transport and civil structures, steel/concrete buildings, and transmission infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise for the development of infrastructure for substations
  • Work closely with other engineers, designers, and clients across a range of crucial projects
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of structural design requirements of substations, transport and civil structures, steel/concrete buildings, and transmission infrastructure
  • Mentor and support a team of structural engineers, including graduates
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Structural Engineering
  • Minimum of 10+ years experience in a similar Principal Structural Engineer position within renewables or utilities
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of Australian guidelines and standards
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders and mentor graduates and engineers
  • Proficient in SPACE GASS, PLS-CADD/PLS POLE, and other structural tools
  • Demonstrated recent experience working within utilities or renewable energy design projects
