Position Overview:


The Production Team Leader will lead the team to assemble and produce 'Pick and Carry' cranes to the highest quality and the highest level of reliability.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance to the Terex Australia Pty Ltd policy, procedures and work instructions, documented quality system, and all OH&S procedures and policies.
  • Responsible for assisting production team members with fabrication issues on our new bodies prior and during crane assembly.
  • Lead and promote the safety culture within production.
  • Respond promptly to Andon calls from your team.
  • Maintain standard work check sheet and work instructions for your team.
  • Report all production nonconformances to the Production Supervisor.
  • Encourage and promote teamwork and continuous improvement lean thinking within your team.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with your team.
  • Ensure 5S principles are adhered to at all times.
  • Assist in the acquisition of tooling as required for your team.

Experience and Qualification:

Required:

  • Associated mechanical or trade background preferred but not essential.
  • Dogman / Riggers ticket preferred.
  • Current FLT.
  • Selfmotivated and the ability to work as per instruction and with minimum supervision.
  • Practical problemsolving attitude.
  • Ability to read drawings and procedures.
  • Actively take part in team group projects.
  • Ability to communicate clearly at all levels with a business.
Experience in the following is preferred but not necessary:

  • Hydraulic
  • Pneumatic
  • Electrical
  • Mechanical
  • Crane and related machinery
  • Quality assurance awareness
  • Reporting of Faults, Hazards and Incidents
