About the role -

ime max term contract until 30/06/2025**Located at our Southern Pathways office in Christies Beach, we're on the lookout for a motivated and enthusiastic Administration Officer to become an integral part of our close-knit team. In this role, you will serve as the initial point of contact for all visitors seeking assistance, including engaging with partners and clients in need of emergency relief and accommodation.


As a busy multi-service site, we seek an individual with outstanding interpersonal skills, strong organisational and administrative abilities, and a compassionate dedication to meeting the needs of our community's most vulnerable.


  • Key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:_
  • Providing administrative support to the office, including the Site Manager and Case Managers
  • Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere to visitors and guests, answering incoming calls and enquiries in a professional, helpful and friendly manner
  • Ordering supplies for the office, mailing and filing

About you:

You will be a passionate, engaging, and resilient person who thrives working in a diverse and challenging environment.

Drawing from prior experience in the homelessness and community services sector, you'll demonstrate adeptness in engaging with a diverse range of individuals in a composed and professional manner.

You will be passionate about working with those who are disadvantaged and marginalised through working to help them achieve their full potential.

You will also have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience providing services to vulnerable people in an administrative / receptionist role
  • A qualification in administration is ideal, but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask and handle competing priorities
  • Sound understanding of cultural diversity in a client facing environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Office 365

Specific Requirements:

You will be required to have, or be willing to obtain:

  • Full unrestricted South Australian Driver's Licence
  • DHS Child-Related Employment Screening or Working with Children Check
  • National Police Clearance
  • Training: Provide First Aid (HLTAID011)
  • Training: Safe Environments for Children and Young People (Through Their Eyes)
  • Ability to travel between the city and Christies Beach offices as required
  • Use of own vehicle
