As we prepare for our grand opening, we're seeking an experienced Management Accountant to proactively business partner with our new Village Senior Leadership Team. As Amberfield's pre-opening Management Accountant, you will have unique and considerable ability to set the Village up for long term success.

About The Vacancy

LDK are seeking a qualified and experienced Management Accountant to play a pivotal role in managing the financial affairs of our new village. This role will be a key point of contact for the business and residents on any village financial matters so proficient communication skills are a must. This role will primarily be responsible for;

  • Preparation of monthly management reporting for various departments for the village RC and SO entities. Including monthly meetings with department heads and the village general manager to discuss results and provide insights.
  • Preparation of daily/weekly flash reporting for the hospitality and care departments.
  • Presentation of Village financial reports to the resident committee together with the Village General Manager.
  • Analyse financial performance and contribute to strategic planning and decision making for the village.
  • Preparation of budget and forecasting outputs for the village.
  • Maintain Accounts Receivable specifically billing and monitoring aging and attend to any queries from residents.
  • Review and authorisation of village payroll and AP invoices in collaboration with the Corporate Finance Team.
  • Key point of contact for group finance team located interstate in support office.
  • Induction of staff and residents into financial processes.
  • Adhoc reporting including analytical work or costings required across the Village.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
  • The salary range is from $110k - $120k + super.

As this is a brand-new village with residents moving in in stages this role will also be heavily involved in new resident induction from a financial perspective, assisting to implement the POS and accounting systems at the village as well as standing up any required reporting.

Reporting into the Village General Manager with an indirect reporting line to LDK's Chief Financial Officer in the inter-state corporate finance team, you will be provided with C-suite mentoring and development opportunities.

About You

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting/Finance.
  • CPA qualification or currently completing.
  • Demonstrated 3-5 years experience in a similar role, within a fast-paced and high growth organisation.
  • Strong competency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Accounting for the village sector would be an advantage but is not essential.
  • Demonstrated experience with Xero.
