The Role: Reporting to the Head of HR and part of the 3-member HR team, the primary objective is to proactively attract top talent to Life Trading through a mix of advertising, direct sourcing, and recruitment campaign project work. The role provides effective and timely recruitment services to the trading, technology and corporate services teams.

Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

  • Build and foster collaborative relationships internally to gain insights into the culture and to understand business needs fully.
  • Proactive candidate management - build and maintain a healthy pipeline of passive candidates for future roles. This includes meeting potential hires in person and developing relationships/trust.
  • Reactive candidate management hire for live roles, "pitch and screen " applicants via telephone, virtual meeting etc.
  • Create candidate-centric targeted job advertisements and marketing campaigns
  • Establish comprehensive definitions for each position in the company and maintain a structured skills (technical and soft) evidence-based evaluation framework.
  • Conduct role/talent market mapping and competitor research.
  • Utilise multiple recruitment tools including SEEK, LinkedIn Recruiter, and search methodologies.
  • Utilise the Client Relationship Manager (CRM) tool to manage long lists > short lists and rejections
  • Leverage the Applicant Tracking System in screening, interviewing, and assessing candidates ensuring up-to-date tracking of interview feedback and activity,
  • Share our Employee Value Proposition and regularly assess to meet changing candidate and employee expectations.
  • Manage referral incentive program
  • Build and strengthen relationships with external recruiting agencies.
  • Monthly board reporting on recruiting activity.

Recruitment

  • Act as a trusted advisor on all recruitment related matters
  • Manage all recruitment related administration including applicant tracking updates, job postings, stakeholder communication, employment contract generation and employee record keeping.
  • Effectively manage the candidate and hiring manager expectations at the selection stage to ensure a positive recruitment and onboarding experience.
  • Create and manage a highly efficient recruitment process with up-to-date documentation and effective communication and interview templating.
  • Liaise with hiring managers and confirm with candidates at final interview stage on contract terms and conditions
  • Conduct reference checks and background/police checks.
  • Lead the induction and onboarding of new starters to ensure an exceptional onboarding experience.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends within Talent Acquisition and Recruitment.
  • Identify, drive, and implement process improvements and development (eg hiring manager interview technique training)

Human Resources

  • HR administration and co-ordination for onboarding including probation
  • Assist in day-to-day operations of the HR function.
  • Provide support on general Human Resources projects as needed.

Essential requirements:

  • 5+ years proven experience in Talent Acquisition
  • Experience in proprietary trading industry preferred, technology, finance
  • Experience in end-to-end recruitment
  • Direct sourcing experience and strong networking skills to connect with hard-to-reach candidates networking and
  • Strong Interview and negotiation skills
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building ability
  • A track record of delivering continuous improvement/innovation and best practice through successful project management of TA initiatives
  • Comprehensive understanding of the trading market, technology domains, talent identification and cultural dynamics

Preferable requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in HR or similar field
  • Hands-on experience working in a small team
  • Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations.
  • A strong knowledge of current TA market insights, trends and technology
