To promote good governance across the organisation, the position will be responsible for:
Ensuring that Council meets its governance requirements under the Local Government Act 2020.

Maintaining Council's register of Council adopted policies and ELT adopted procedures.

Support to Manager Governance & Legal in addressing Freedom of Information and Privacy obligations.

Promotion, reporting and accountability requirements for the governance function.

About You:

Working knowledge of the Local Government Act 2020;
Excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of emotional intelligence; and

Extensive experience and a demonstrated track record of achievement in a similar role.

Requirement of the position:

Evidence of the right to work in Australia;
Satisfactory National Police Check; and

Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.
