About the Role

This is a full-time ongoing hybrid role, based in a dynamic and vibrant environment. Reporting to the Head of Finance and Governance, this role provides assistance to management, Board Secretariat support, plus governance, procurement and compliance services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide governance support to the Board and management team, ensuring effective decision-making and compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Develop and implement governance policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the procurement process, ensuring compliance with procurement laws and regulations.
  • Provide advice on contract management and compliance, ensuring effective risk management and mitigation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization and externally, providing governance and compliance services.
Requirements
  • Practical experience working in a governance capacity with extensive Board experience.
  • Extensive experience in policy development and excellent understanding of legislative principles as they apply to key policies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of legislation governing public sector entities and experience in the application of governance principles across a public organization.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of procurement practices and contract management principles.
  • A tertiary qualification in law, governance or related discipline is preferred.
