Our Federal Government Client is responsible for national digital health services and systems, with a focus on engagement, innovation, clinical quality, and safety.

Their focus is on putting data and technology safely to work for patients, consumers and the healthcare professionals who look after them.


The Role

An initial 12 month contract for an APS5 level Strategic Engagement Officer to support the business requirements of the Strategic Engagement team.


Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct basic research and coordinate input from across the Agency to inform: Briefing papers, Board papers Advisory and SEC papers
  • Maintenance of the Strategic Engagement Team inbox
  • Facilitate and work flow internal requests for engagement with external stakeholders
  • Organise strategic engagement workshops and webinars
  • Support coordination of Branch involvement in external research projects
  • Update and maintain event/engagement calendars
  • Implement processes to promote branchled events to external stakeholders
  • Update and maintain the Strategic Engagement webpage on the Agency's intranet
  • Assist in the management of corporate functions including human resources and finances
  • Collate potential engagement opportunities for Agency at external events
  • Experience in project support and business administration role, with skills in relationship management to achieve organisational objectives
  • Knowledge of the Agency's products and services including My Health Record, Secure Messaging and Electronic Prescribing or ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to problem solving and critical thinking
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to consistently produce quality documentation
  • Support the Stakeholder Engagement Framework and its principles
  • Work independently or under limited guidance to support the business requirements of the Strategic Engagement team. Complex or difficult issues are discussed with team leaders.
