About this Role
We currently have the opportunity for an
experienced Communications and Engagement Officer to join Public Affairs team. The
Communication and Engagement Officer will be
responsible for supporting our communication, media and government relation activities.

Your day will consist of:
-
Scheduling meetings with members of government (Federal and State), and other key stakeholders

  • Supporting
    media responses logistics and arrangements
:

  • Assisting in the
    development of internal and external communications content
:

-
Scheduling and supporting member committees and working groups

:

  • Assisting in the management and execution of our events

About you
You will have
previous communication and / or government relations experience, with excellent organisation and time management skills. You will be an
expert written and verbal communicator with an interest in media, stakeholder engagement and government relations.

Essential Criteria

:

  • Previous experience in a similar role. Demonstrated
    minimum three years' experience in (peak industry body, electorate office, or media engagement) roles in communication and/or community engagement.
:

  • Contemporary
    experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of communication and engagement initiatives
:

  • You will be creative and
    adaptive to rapidly changing circumstances
:

  • You will be a selfstarter with
    strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal relations, and time management skills

Exposure to media engagement activities, which may include pitching stories, developing media lists and coordinating interviews

  • The ability to positively impact your team, the organisation and the wider member groups
