The Opportunity

An opening has emerged to lead the Waste & Cleaning Operations team in the City Delivery portfolio, reporting to the Operations Manager.

This role involves coordinating and supervising the Waste and Cleaning Operations team and contractors to deliver high-quality Kerbside, Transfer Station, Hard Waste, Cleaning, and Graffiti Response Services. Your responsibilities include ensuring services are within budget and compliant with relevant regulations and Council policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer technical advice on services and innovative resource recovery initiatives for Council projects and planning applications.
  • Provide reports to Council on Waste Management and Cleaning Operation matters.
  • Maintain partnerships with government, industry bodies, contractors, and consultants.
  • Manage budgets and service plans efficiently.

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in a technical field or extensive waste management experience.
  • Experience in waste, resource recovery, or cleaning industries.
  • Proficiency in Contract Management and OH&S requirements.
  • Valid Victorian Driver's Licence.
