Merchandise Operations Manager is a business critical role, responsible for the optimisation of merchandise stock flow and financial performance along with the management of click & collect, safety and compliance.

Manage the day to day operations of the store ensuring compliance with merchandise from dock to floor to customer, replenishment and shrinkage.

About The Role:

  • Manage the logistics of all merchandise received at Myer North Lakes, from dock to selling floor ensuring efficiency in stock flow, compliance and safety at all times
  • Oversee merchandise operations activities ensuring in store merchandise optimisation and management of click & collect customer orders
  • Actively drive a high performance, customer focused, service and selling culture
  • Ensure compliance with processes that remain efficient, effective and streamlined
  • Identify and champion the implementation of operational process improvement across the store
  • Lead, empower and inspire your team with a consistent focus on developing the next generation of MYER leaders
  • Lead and manage store compliance activities and coordinate facilities management, ensuring all managers are fulfilling requirements for their business unit
  • Maintain shrinkage strategy and manage implementation including communication, education, monitoring, review and support

About You:

  • Solid experience in a high volume store management, or retail operations role is essential
  • Experience in Logistics within a retail environment, leading docktofloor stock flow and replenishment teams, including training and upholding safety compliance
  • Proven leadership skills with people management experience of a medium to large sized team
  • Working knowledge of OH&S processes and practices
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data and reports to make informed recommendations and decisions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and can communicate with influence to a diverse team
  • Ability to drive our Customer First Strategy across a large format department store, offering a wide range of product categories
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently on prioritising and meeting deadlines
  • Strong retail, financial and business acumen
