The opportunity


Kinetic have experienced exciting growth over recent years, part of which saw us begin operating one third of Melbourne's bus network.

We are currently seeking a Depot Manager who is passionate about improving performance and providing leadership within a dynamic work environment.


Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, you will have direct accountability for overseeing the depot's Service Delivery team which comprises of Bus Drivers, Refuellers, Administration Assistants, Dispatch Controllers and Driver Managers and ensure we maintain optimum safety and compliance standards, operational and financial performance, and business growth.

This is a highly varied role where no two days are the same so expect a challenging yet rewarding experience where you can make a real impact on our operations

You will be involved in

  • Aligning your team to business values and objectives through active leadership
  • Collaborating with different divisions of the business to improve service delivery, streamline processes and perform data analysis for reporting
  • Engaging with all staff to maintain strong relationships and promote a positive work culture
  • Monitoring performance against budget and proactively working to implement strategies that address any issues
  • Ensuring a high standard of safety and presentation and completing a variety of compliance and auditing tasks to identify areas of improvement
  • Monitoring adherence to organisational policies, procedures, rules and regulations and taking remedial action through performance management

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Logistics, Management or equivalent or strong industry experience
  • Highlevel knowledge of operational systems and logistics functions
  • Broad change management and leadership experience within large operational teams
  • Knowledge of bus route services and the overall Victorian transport network highly desirable but not essential
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, problemsolving and data analysis skills
  • Strong computer literacy with exposure to Power BI and Power Automate highly desirable
  • High level of initiative and ability to adapt to a continual changing work environment
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a heavy vehicle drivers' licence (MR or above), CPVV Driver Accreditation and Working with Children Check
