Reporting to the warehousing and distribution manager, this position will see the successful applicant to be responsible for leading and supporting chain field officers with all aspects of distribution and warehousing.
With the option to be based from any of our client's multiple depots including Ardeer, Geelong, Richmond, Ballarat, Bendigo, and others.

Description
- Develop the capabilities, skills and behaviours of team to meet current and future requirements
- Develop and implement strategies that will improve individual and team performance, including the identification of system improvement opportunities and development of innovative solutions.
- Provide oversight for supply chain and logistics operations across field distribution centres.
- Manage field distribution centres (FDC) operations.
- Implement and ensure compliance to HSE standards.
- Successfully develop and embed fitforpurpose capabilities.
- Develop processes or process improvements that meet the agility needed for the business to be competitive.
- Contribute to a culture that is focused on workplace continuous improvement through identifying and supporting improvement initiatives and opportunities.
- Implement strategies and performance management.
Profile
To be considered for this role you will have:
- Minimum certificate 4 in warehousing and logistics or relevant qualifications.
- Significant experience in managing warehousing operations.
- Demonstrated management/leadership experience in an operations environment.
- Leadership and communications skills to develop and support team members.
- Sound knowledge of WMS or ERP (preferably SAP).
- Strong knowledge of supply chain and logistics practices.
- Advanced interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
