Position Details

THE ROLE

Reporting to the CEO of Homes Victoria, the Executive Director, Asset Management leads a branch responsible for the management, maintenance and optimization of a portfolio of ~64 public housing assets in Victoria at a replacement cost of $35 billion.

The second largest public housing landlord in Australia.

This includes the development and implementation of asset management strategies, plans, and services to maintain and improve the quality and sustainability of this housing portfolio, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, managing budgets and financial resources and collaborating with stakeholders to address the needs of tenants and communities.

This role is the key steward of the facilities management and upgrade procurement and systems that are budgeted at circa $m per year.

This is much more than bricks and mortar.

This role will drive the efficient and effective delivery of services for a very large housing portfolio, whilst significantly transforming core systems, processes, and services to improve the liveability of homes for Victorians.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

Asset Strategy:

Develop and implement asset management strategies to optimize the performance of public housing assets and meet the needs of tenants and the community.


Asset Maintenance:

Establish and oversee maintenance programs to ensure the upkeep and safety of public housing assets, including coordination with maintenance staff and contractors.


Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and standards related to public housing and asset management, and manage risks associated with asset management activities.
