About the Project
Parklife Metro is spearheading a transformative project connecting St Marys to the new Aerotropolis. This joint venture includes Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild, and aims to deliver 6 new stations, 12 metro trains, core rail systems, and a state-of-the-art stabling and maintenance facility at Orchard Hills.

As the largest PPP project ever awarded in NSW, this $5 billion initiative will leave a lasting legacy for the Greater Western Sydney community. Joining this groundbreaking project offers a unique opportunity to advance your career.

Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Project Controls Director to lead our Contracts function. Reporting directly to the Project Director, you will oversee the commercial management of major subcontract packages, ensuring comprehensive contract compliance and governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Controls Execution Support: Implement and execute the cost and schedule management program for the SSTOM project. Support area infrastructure planning efforts at various stages, facilitate cost estimates and budget development, and establish reasonable cost and schedule baselines.
  • Reporting: Develop dashboards to communicate cost and schedule performance to teams in real-time. Implement a standardised cost and schedule report suite that enables senior management to make data-driven decisions.
  • Analysis and Tracking: Perform trend analysis and evaluate project cost and schedule performance to identify potential risk areas, validate forecasts, and communicate those quickly to key stakeholders.
  • Risk Assessment: Work with key stakeholders to identify project risks and lead the cost and schedule contingency management process for assigned projects.
  • Advice and Guidance: Provide expert advice and guidance to senior management, project controller managers, and project managers on project planning, project monitoring and control, cost and schedule baseline maintenance, and reporting of project cost and schedule status.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.



Key Requirements

  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Chartered Quantity Surveyor or Engineer preferred.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in construction project management, including planning/scheduling, cost management, contract management, and change management, preferably in large infrastructure projects.
  • Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and project coding structures, cost management work processes, construction estimating methodologies, and risk management.
  • Skills: Advanced MS Excel skills, proficiency with software systems and packages, and excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrated problem-solving ability in a cross-functional environment.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organisation with tight timelines and aggressive goals.
  • Customer Focus: Building effective relationships to understand customer needs and deliver customer-focused outcomes.
