About the Role: Technical Director – Control Systems

As our Technical Director for Control Systems, you'll be at the heart of our mission to revolutionize the energy sector. This pivotal role not only requires a deep understanding of technical intricacies but also a visionary approach to the energy transition in Australia. This is your opportunity to influence major energy transformation initiatives, ensuring the successful delivery of high-calibre projects across Australia and potentially impacting our global operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Steer the strategic direction and development of SCADA and Energy Management Systems for large scale energy projects.
  • Collaborate closely with global teams to ensure the integration and optimization of SCADA/EMS solutions in line with PSC's vision for sustainable energy management.
  • Provide expert consultancy and support to our clients, guiding them through complex SCADA/EMS implementations and optimizations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, advancements, and regulations to ensure PSC remains a step ahead in energy management solutions.
  • Champion the use of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to advance PSC's project delivery capabilities.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in leading Control Systems projects within the energy sector, ideally Transmission.
  • A deep technical understanding of SCADA systems, Energy Management Systems, and their application within the renewables or broader energy industry.
  • Business development skills with the ability to identify and develop opportunities within PSC's existing and potential client base.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a track record of successfully managing and inspiring others.
  • Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to oversee complex projects from conception through to delivery.
  • Strategic thinker with the capacity to contribute to our global vision for the energy sector.
  • A passion for sustainability and a drive to make a meaningful impact in the energy transition journey.
  • Solid understanding of the Australian energy market and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in electrical engineering, computer science, or related fields.
