The Pharmacy Department are looking for an Allied Health - Senior Research Officer to join their team. The purpose of this role is to act as a senior research assistant for Princess Alexandra Hospital, Pharmacy Department Metro South to support the undertaking of a Metro South / University of Queensland Collaborative Grant which aims to evaluate the PADUA VTE Risk Prediction Tool at PA Hospital research. This includes provision of senior clinical, problem-solving skills, expert planning and co-ordination of patients with complex care needs within a research framework.

About the Role

  • Deliver senior specialist clinical pharmacy research assistance to MSH/UQ School of Pharmacy research team. This role will provide support to our senior team of clinicians and researchers on a multisite MSH study, which aims to improve patient safety, through optimal VTE risk prediction. The research aims to evaluate the PADUA VTE Risk Tool at Metro South.
  • Work within, monitor and develop standards of care in the defined research/clinical trial protocol, standard operating procedures and practice guidelines for research/clinical trials, hospital policies and procedures to ensure safe and high-quality research completion.
  • Provide high level advice and guidance regarding suitable data collection, storage and analysis as required including completion of preliminary reports and statistical analysis.
