We are currently seeking a Technical Support Coordinator to support the Lead in Fighter (LIF) site operational deliverables in our Aircraft Sustainment & Training based at the RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW.

The role requires a dynamic, technically minded individual with strong leadership qualities to drive change and delivery outcomes.

In terms of more specific responsibilities, you will:

  • Plan, implement and lead site minor project activities
  • Develop and cultivate assigned relationships with facilities suppliers and subcontractors to ensure all contracts are delivered on time and to budget
  • Provide support to Maintenance Coordinators for aircraft maintenance and planning activities
  • Identify training needs to support efficient operations with a sound understanding of process and governance requirements
  • Develop rostering of maintenance personnel
  • Participate in strategic human resourcing reviews for future requirements
  • Be the site liaison engagement with Defence Establishment team
  • Have Financial Management of Williamtown site cost account, including Vehicle Support, PPE, Office Supplies, Small Tools and Consumables in consultation with relevant personnel
  • Participate in Lead team activities

As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you will have:

  • Aeronautical engineering/trade qualification
  • A Qualification in Project Management or willingness to obtain
  • Experience working within governance frameworks within an ISO9001 organisation and quality system
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, establish, communicate and lead multidisciplinary teams towards a goal set by yourself, in support of an organisational vision
  • A level of business acumen and associated experience will be required to review and evolve the business model into precinct capability
  • The ability to interact effectively with colleagues within and outside his/her immediate team, to implement business requirements
  • The ability to facilitate and capitalise on change and innovation by participating in the introduction and management of change in the workforce, develop creative and flexible solutions and manage emerging opportunities as challenges
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security clearance to "Negative Vetting 1" is essential
