The Role
Airborne Surveillance Control and Intelligence Systems Program Office (ASCISPO), located at RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW and RAAF Base Edinburgh, SA, performs sustainment and major capability upgrades for the Air Force's fleet of E-7A Wedgetail and MC-55A Peregrine systems.

ASCISPO is looking to fill two positions; a Commercial Support Team Lead and a Commercial Support Officer that are part of a small team of Contract Management Officers. They provide a wide range of support to ASCISPO, including but not limited to:

Management and coordination of new contracts Coordination of contract change proposals to existing contracts Accurate and timely Configuration to a wide range of contracts Management of technical data, intellectual property and export controlled information Facilitation and drafting of contract correspondence Maintenance of Contract Administration Register Suites Management of Contractor Performance reviews Advice to stakeholders on legislation and procurement policies to ensure compliance

ASCISPO is located at RAAF Base Williamtown in the beautiful Port Stephens region and offers access to flexible working conditions to support work life balance and an attractive remuneration package including a generous superannuation contribution of 15.4%. Defence provides relocation assistance to eligible APS employees required to relocate. The level of assistance will vary depending on the reason for relocating and your personal circumstances.

Our Ideal Candidate
 For both roles, the successful candidates will demonstrate: Excellent organisational and time management skills with an attention to detail to meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders to meet desired outcomes. An ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships. Strong teamwork skills and a commitment to being an active team member. An ability to interpret and provide advice on legislation, policy and procedures relating to the contract management function. In addition, the Commercial Support Team Lead would also demonstrate: Experience in leadership with the ability to coach and mentor team members while balancing conflicting priorities to manage workflows of a small team. In addition, the Commercial Support Officer would also demonstrate: An understanding of Foreign Military Sales to provide guidance to the capability team. This position will be required to access US export controlled materiel and therefore applicants will be requested to disclose any dual citizenship with another country during the recruitment process. Dual citizens may be subject to further assessment and appointment to this position will be conditional upon approval to access US controlled export material be in accordance with the United States Arms Export Control Act.
