Position Summary
  • Conduct fundamental research into plant biology
  • Member of Prof Mathew G Lewsey's lab and the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence in Plants for Space (P4S)
Location and Responsibilities

Based at La Trobe Institute for Sustainable Agriculture and Food (LISAF) in Bundoora

  • Investigate interactions between plant hormones and growth/defence balance
  • Utilize Arabidopsis and tomatoes for research
  • Integrate wet-lab and computational approaches
  • Include genomics, genetics, single-cell 'omics, and high-throughput plant phenotyping
Skills and Experience
  • Completion of Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline
  • Experience in data analysis and modelling
  • Background in molecular or computational biology with focus on plant genetics/genomics
