5525- Date: 18 Aug 2023- Location: Brisbane, QLD, AU, 4000- Company: Queensland RailWith significant growth in rail Signalling projects across Queensland, we are looking for a motivated individual to lead the Signalling Concept Development team to develop scope, requirements and estimating documentation for Queensland Rail's safety signalling system.


This role is also known within QR as Team Leader Minor Projects and Operations Coordinator and is a key position within our Signalling Engineering Delivery team.


About this role:

Managing Signalling concept outputs is a key component of this role.

You will lead a team of technical staff and validate team outputs to align with Queensland Rail strategy and Asset Management objectives and continuously look for opportunities to improve business outcomes.


In addition, you will plan and allocate works to meet concept deliverables across capital, operational, externally funded, and major projects.

You will manage stakeholder expectations, setting and agree on deliverables, will engage with multiple stakeholders from across the business and be an integral part in delivering QR Signalling projects.


What we are looking for:

  • Strong leader who can demonstrate working collaboratively and independently in a team environment. Support and lead a team of professional Senior Concept Engineers and output of technical requirements.
  • A resourceful and analytical thinker with strong communication skills, someone who is keen for driving improvement Initiatives.
  • An understanding of project methodologies, contract management, safety, risk and cost implications in a project environment are advantageous.
  • Excellent technical writing skills with ability to develop and provide oversight of concept documentation.


Must hold a Bachelor Engineering - Electrical/Electronic from an accredited Australian university or Queensland Rail accepted equivalent that is recognised by Engineers Australia, the national professional body for engineers in Australia.
