About the Team:

We aim to be the safest, best performing and most customer focused railway in Australia. Our South East Queensland (SEQ) Network Assets business delivers infrastructure services, construction, maintenance, asset management and development across our 700 kilometers of rail network across South East Queensland, stretching from Varsity Lakes in the South to Gympie in the North, from Moreton Bay in the East and inland to Rosewood in the west.

Our Signals Maintenance team are looking for multiple Signal Electricians to carrying out the installation, maintenance and repair of all signalling equipment and report on the performance and condition of the signalling asset to ensure it's safe and effective operation in the SEQ region.

Fixed term until September 2025 with a possibility these roles will extend beyond this time.

The team currently work a rolling 7-week roster, Sunday to Friday Shifts: 5:00am – 2:30pm | 2:00pm – 11:30pm | 8:30pm – 6:00am. Penalties rates apply. This roster can change with business requirements.

Additional responsibilities include:

Ensure all work is performed in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) requirements and legislative policies including work activities performed by subordinate employees Ensure all work is performed in accordance with technical and operational specification and standards including work activities performed by subordinate employees Install, maintain and fault finding / repair of signalling equipment. Maintain all records and associated documentation relating to asset condition, maintenance programs and costing systems. Report on actual work performed against the scheduled work program and report any equipment performance and condition irregularities. Perform Protection Officer duties as required.

We are seeking interest from applicants with the following:

Cert IV Electrical Railway Signalling, desirable but not mandatory to hold (internal training supplied for successful candidates) Queensland Electrical Mechanic Licence C Class Drivers Licence

In addition to the above requirements, you will possess:

Organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment
