The Role
In this newly established position, you will work closely with the Financial Controller / CFO, taking on responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing and managing financial reporting, which includes analyzing subsidiary results and preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Leading and developing the General Ledger and Accounts Payable teams to ensure the timely and accurate processing of transactions.
  • Coordinating and reviewing the preparation for external audits, implementing audit recommendations, and maintaining high-quality documentation.
  • Managing the finance ERP system, monitoring system efficiencies, and overseeing cash forecasting and investment requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with tax-related returns, insurance renewals, and regulatory reporting obligations.
  • Developing and implementing accounting policies, providing advice on key accounting practices, and overseeing the monthly and annual closing processes.
About You
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
  • Active membership in a recognized professional accounting association (CA or CPA)
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership and staff development
  • More than 7 years working in a financial accounting capacity
  • Preferably, familiarity with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
  • Knowledge of Power BI is considered a bonus
