Senior Accountant

Rushton & Keep Accounting is currently recruiting a full-time Senior Accountant to join us at our Werribee office as we enter an exciting period of growth.

We are looking for a Business Services Senior Accountant with 5+ years of Public Practice experience who can hit the ground running and immediately start working closely with a large variety of clients - from individuals through to thriving business clients across many sectors.

As a Senior member of the Rushton & Keep Accounting team, your responsibilities will include:

Processing jobs from inception to completion.

Peer reviewing the work of other team members

Preparation of income tax returns, financial statements, statutory reporting and compliance

Preparing and reviewing business activity statements and instalment activity statements

Preparing and submitting various applications for grants and registrations on behalf of our clients

Preparation of supporting workpapers to a high standard

Lead and deliver special client projects

Providing support and on-the-job learning to graduate accountants and other colleagues

You will be encouraged to expand your professional knowledge through internal and external training sessions in order to meet the CPD requirements of your CPA or CA membership.

To be successful in this role you will:

Have completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree

Have completed either a CPA or CA qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of experience in Public Practice Accounting

Enjoy working with others and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Experience with accounting software including MYOB, XERO and Quickbooks

Experience with Handisoft will be highly regarded

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Work independently and part of a team

A strong work ethic and solution orientated

ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

Rushton & Keep Accounting is currently recruiting a full-time Administration Officer to join us at our Werribee office. We are looking for an experienced admin officer, ideally having worked in an accounting practice previously.

As the administrator you will be utilising your co-ordination skills to ensure all entities are set up accordingly, documents are sent and compiled and reports filed. It is an all-round admin role for the right person to sink their teeth into.

Key responsibilities will include:

Set up of various entities including Trusts, Companies and Superannuation Funds

Liaising with clients, ATO, ASIC and third party interests

Compilation of year end packages

Generation of reports

Ad hoc administration tasks as required

Reception Duties

To be successful for this role you must have the following:

Ideally will have administrative experience in an Accountancy practice or similar

Excellent communication skills both in person and phone based

The ability to meet deadlines and pick things up quickly

Display a high level of initiative and a willingness to learn

A strong understanding of Microsoft office

A commitment to best practice and continuous improvement.
