The Opportunity


The Customer Service Team are seeking a highly motivated person to support the Customer Service Unit, delivering a range of face to face enquiries and a high volume of inbound calls.


  • The positions report to the Customer Service Team Leader Libraries.
  • The position will provide timely and accurate information on Council's services to the public, Community Groups, internal and external service providers.
  • You will be representing Council in providing a professional service to customers and an interface with internal Council operations to attain a "onestopshop" approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer enquiries made in person, by telephone and in writing.
  • Collect and accurately process payments made to Council and balance floats accordingly.
  • Accurately record customer requests in Council's corporate system.

About you

_ To be successful in this role you will have the following:_

  • A high level of commitment to customer care including experience in face to face enquiries and dealing with a high volume of telephone calls.
  • Be able to work successfully in a team aiming to provide high quality, accurate and timely information.
  • Experience in maintaining administrative systems and word processing duties.
  • Sound computer skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Software Applications.
