  • UGL Defence is currently working towards the award of a fuel related Asset Management, Operations and Maintenance contract with Defence. We are recruiting a Configuration Manager to join our business in what is an exciting and unique opportunity to work in the Australia Defence environment to support the national security requirements of the Nation.

The Role


The Configuration Manager, reporting into the Engineering & Strategic Asset Manager, will be based in our newly created Defence Hub in North Sydney.

This role is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Ensure effective management and control of configuration items related to the contract
  • Maintain the integrity, traceability and accuracy of all deliverables and associated documentation
  • Monitor and enforce the change control process, maintain accurate records and status reports and conduct regular audits and reviews of configuration items
  • Coordinate the release and deployment of configuration items and collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure effective communication
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve and streamline configuration management function

On Your First Day we expect you to bring to the team:

  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant field, with extensive experience in the Defence or similar complex engineering environment
  • In depth knowledge of configuration management principles, practices and standards
  • Familiarity with Defence industry requirements will be highly regarded
  • Working experience operating in management tools and software, SAP preferred
  • Currently holds, or ability to obtain required security clearance
