State Manager - Industrial Distribution Branch Network

As they continue to expand, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced State Manager to lead the branch network for Victoria.
Position Overview:
As the State Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the branch network and the field sales team, ensuring efficient and effective servicing of our industrial distribution customers.
This is a leadership position that requires strategic thinking, strong managerial skills, and a deep understanding of BtoB industrial distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and develop a highperforming team of branch managers, sales representatives, and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and customer focus.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets, market share growth, and profitability goals within the assigned state.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business expansion and improvement.
- Establish strong relationships with key BtoB customers, identifying their requirements, providing technical expertise, and delivering exceptional service.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including marketing, logistics, and procurement, to optimize operational efficiency, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal regulations, promoting a safe and ethical work environment.
- Prepare and present reports on branch performance, sales forecasts, and market insights to senior management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience within a similar role in the industrial distribution industry, preferably in BtoB segment.
- Strong business acumen with a track record of driving sales growth and profitability.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a highperforming team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make datadriven decisions and identify market trends.
- Strong organizational and problemsolving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems, MS Office Suite, and other relevant software.
