This team is responsible for high quality origination and delivery of best-in-class customer and industry insights to differentiate our sales proposition and enhance our conversations with valued clients.

The primary responsibility of this credit analyst role is to efficiently manage a portfolio of Corporate & Institutional sized clients across numerous sectors and provide robust analysis and deliver sound & sustainable credit recommendations, including the origination process for new transactions and the ongoing support and monitoring of the customer portfolio as the primary credit analyst.

You'll collaborate with your analyst peers, product experts, and Relationship Managers to help initiate and structure a range of banking transactions, whilst being sensitive to the customer's needs.

This includes providing value added research that can be used by both our customers and internal stakeholders.

You will also:

  • Ensure that all aspects of the credit process, including the required due diligence, are properly executed
  • Write credit submissions including detailed risk analysis and financial forecasting, and be able to present and negotiate submissions through WIB's risk management decision process
  • Test proposals against approved business and credit strategies, target market acceptance criteria and underwriting standards

What's in it for me?

For example, you'll be able to have access to some of the best banking, wealth and insurance benefits in the market, be paid well, as well as an entire suite of online learning and career planning tools so you can grow.

Whatever shape your family takes, we offer generous paid and unpaid parental leave for your nominated primary and support carers.

This includes leave to organise adoptions, surrogacy, and foster care arrangements.

And we continue to pay your super contributions while you take all the time you need to get your new family settled.

What do I need?

  • Strong experience in Corporate or Institutional banking or a related field, with experience in credit writing, analysis, and assessment.
  • A familiarity with Institutional clients and the various aspects of Institutional Banking that go with this across Financial Markets, Syndications and multibank relationships will be viewed favourably.
  • You will demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities while building relationships with a variety of stakeholders and external clients

Some further advantageous skills:

  • Advanced Microsoft excel and financial modelling skills will be viewed favourably
  • Knowledge of how to build customer relationships and experience managing customers would be beneficial.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills required to manage significant relationships with stakeholders
