About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will offer strategic financial guidance and assistance in Strategic Procurement, Financial Services, and Travel Management for the University. Your focus will be on enhancing processes and efficiencies to improve financial services, promoting a unified team environment for customer service, managing the purchase-to-pay process model, and overseeing the procurement model.

About the Finance Unit

The Finance Unit is dedicated to implementing efficient financial practices to support the University's requirements. The University's financial service delivery model is integrated with business partners to aid the University in a competitive global setting.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field, along with memberships to CPA Australia, Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, or equivalent bodies
  • Extensive commercial experience and proven business acumen in large organizations
  • Exceptional communication skills for presenting complex information and producing management reports
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills for building effective business relationships and handling challenging situations
  • Demonstrated leadership in team management and a focus on service excellence
  • Expertise in identifying areas for improvement in financial and management reporting
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills with a knack for innovative solutions
  • Strong negotiation skills honed through complex procurement activities
