The Importance of our Team:

About the Role:

NHP is currently looking for a proactive and skilled Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team, situated in Melbourne.

You will be in charge of handling routine documentation and general administrative tasks linked to monitoring creditor accounts. This involves maintaining the integrity of the Creditors sub-ledger through accurate and timely processing, payment, and reconciliation.

Team Size – 5 members
Focus on a major account

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and document invoices and other AP paperwork, ensuring liability confirmation for payment with accuracy
  • Obtain payment authorization as per NHP procedures
  • Assign approved expenses to the correct budget account (cost center/GL), ensuring data accuracy
  • Process payments accurately and promptly
  • Oversee reconciliation of a key supplier account
  • Deliver top-notch customer service to suppliers and stakeholders for AP inquiries
  • Follow up promptly on missing payments
  • Provide additional administrative support (e.g., petty cash)

Your Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of Accounts Payable experience
  • Prior experience reconciling substantial accounts
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume setting with competing priorities
  • Analytical mindset with knowledge of AP standards and statutory obligations
  • Familiarity with systems (D365 Finance)
  • Intermediate expertise in MS Excel, including V Look Up
  • Strong attention to detail and precision
  • Confident and effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team
  • A positive demeanor and readiness to collaborate with diverse personalities to achieve shared objectives
