Reporting to the Senior Finance & Operations Director, you'll join a passionate and very high-performing team with a strong culture of business partnering focused on improving the lives of patients living with diabetes, obesity, and other serious chronic diseases.

The position
As a Senior Procurement Manager, you will oversee the indirect sourcing across our Pacific sub-region affiliates by managing sourcing activities, category strategies and supplier relationship management aimed to help the acquisition of high-quality goods/services at the best possible terms and pricing and with a clear focus on sustainability. You are expected to manage category sourcing across our region in collaboration with the Regional Procurement Director, as well as:

  • Lead a high performing procurement function in Oceania. Work closely with Line of Business (LOB) with responsibility for leading and advising on the sourcing and negotiation processes.
  • Ongoingly analyse the current procurement landscape and develop and present recommendations for improvements to key stakeholders, and drive implementation locally of initiatives.
  • Take ownership of the local procurement policy and process, procurement systems, monitoring of adherence, and training of the organization.
  • Manage stakeholders across all levels of the organization from Admin to VP level. Ensuring fulfillment of procurement KPIs set for Oceania.
  • Take part in the APAC Procurement Management group for the region, as well as the Oceania Finance & Operations Management Team. Align and drive relevant sourcing activities and share best practices with the Regional and Corporate Procurement Groups, and implement them locally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a relevant field and a minimum of 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry and within 3PL/4PL distribution/logistics providers.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to pursue value-adding procurement solutions while maintaining compliance.
  • Solid experience with sourcing processes, including end-to-end RFP, negotiations, and category strategies, and a proven track record of being the LoB's procurement business partner.
  • Excellent direction and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across functions and as an individual contributor with a can-do attitude.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication/presentation skills, along with demonstrated project management skills and proficiency in relevant IT skills (preferably in Coupa), SAP, and the MS Office suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and Power BI. Must be an Australian citizen or have a current residency Visa to live and work in Australia.
