Job Description

The successful candidate will lead a thriving and profitable paid media team, ensuring that the team is delivering great work, while also managing and mentoring team members of diverse personalities, experience and skill sets. The Media Buying Team Lead will also be responsible for developing and overseeing supplier relationships, including ad platforms, tools and partners, and exploring new channels for media buying.
In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for working on big integrated media pitches, delegating work to other team members, and ensuring the team is profitable.

Responsibilities:


• Lead the media buying offering and manage the media department, either directly or indirectly, via line managers.

• Develop and oversee supplier relationships, including ad platforms, tools, and partners.

• Work on big integrated media pitches directly or support media buying team's work via training, mentoring, advice, and QA.

• Delegate work to team members, ensuring timely and quality delivery of work.

• Ensure the team is delivering great work and is a profitable department.

• Manage the team, making sure that staff are thriving and growing.

• Ensure smooth rollout and adoption of processes.

• Provide relevant feedback to team members on their work in a way that is productive yet empathetic.

• Adapt to changing situations calmly, ensuring team members are working under a sense of psychological safety.

• Skilled at providing relevant feedback to others on work in a way that is productive yet empathetic.

• Spot potential resourcing or scoping issues and pass onto the relevant Client Services or Growth teams for resolution.

• Future ad tech thinking and strategy around innovation for the department, delegating implementation as needed to senior media buying team members.

Requirements:


• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in media buying and advertising.

• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage and mentor a team of diverse personalities, experience, and skill sets.

• Strong marketing and strategy skills, including the ability to explore new channels for media buying.

• Excellent delegation skills, including getting buy-in and supporting timely and quality delivery of work.

• Skilled at providing relevant feedback to others on work in a way that is productive yet empathetic.

• Collaborative team player, able to adapt to changing situations calmly.

• Strong capability to deliver client solutions.

• Ability to create a team environment where all members have a sense of psychological safety.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to spot potential resourcing or scoping issues.
