What's the role?
Medium Rare Content Agency (MRCA) is seeking a Head of Content Insights, Strategy and Data to head up the Strategy and Insights team for Coles.
An exciting new role driven by Coles' desire to supercharge its content marketing, the Head of Content Insights, Strategy and Data will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the content strategy for Coles by leading a crack team of strategy and data experts.
This team is designed to blend creative thinking with data-driven insights to optimize content across all channels - both active and to be activated.
The primary focus is on developing cohesive content strategies for briefs and campaigns that align with the company's objectives, resonate with the target audience, and drive measurable audience and commercial growth.
The Head of Content Insights, Strategy and Data will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights, guiding content creation, and continuously refining strategies based on performance analytics. They will be pivotal to creating a cohesive approach to strategy alongside the creative agency and alongside client-side internal teams, ensuring content as a tool is used effectively and powerfully to deliver on Coles' brand vision.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align content strategy with business goals, target audience, and brand messaging.
- Develop and articulate a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with overall marketing and business objectives.
- Ensure consistency and coherence in messaging across various channels and platforms.
- Ensure all programs of work are delivered on time and to brief.
- Utilize data analytics tools to gather and analyze content performance metrics.
- Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities through data analysis to inform content strategy.
- Support a team of specialists to generate actionable insights to optimize content creation, distribution, and engagement.
- Ensure all programs of work run to schedule and time spent is efficient and effective.
- Promote a collaborative approach to strategy and insights
- Provide regular feedback and coaching to staff
Who are you?
- You have 7-10 years of relevant experience.
- You have managed diverse skill sets and helped a team of channel experts to collaborate.
- You have worked in a client facing role and understand how to deliver on strategic business objectives.
- You exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You manage your own workload in order to complete all tasks with maximum efficiency and to deadline.
- You adopt a thorough and methodical approach to work.
- You show a high level of attention to detail.
- You take responsibility for own tasks and ensures progress is communicated to appropriate parties, internally and externally.
