About the role:


We are currently seeking a highly creative Marketing and Creative Services Coordinator to guide, lead, inspire and support a small team of marketing and creative specialists.


In this role you will be responsible for taking a strategic approach to seek and develop opportunities to market Council's programs, facilities and initiatives and use evidence to provide advice to internal teams relating to marketing opportunities and creative campaign development.

You will be self-starter who can identify and seize an opportunity and work collaboratively across the team and organisation to deliver a strategic approach to marketing and be a champion of Council's brand.


This role requires someone who is passionate about developing others, and can provide leadership and guidance, along with workflow management for a busy team.

You will work collaboratively as part of the larger Communications team to promote Council in a positive light, sharing the good stories of our city and ensure Council's brand is positively marketed in line with our brand strategy.

Council's small and highly skilled Communications team provides communications, engagement and marketing support and advice to teams across the organisation.

The team is responsible for the development and distribution of a range of digital and print communications and marketing materials and campaigns to positively promote Council's programs, events and initiatives, as well as delivering on a range of community engagement activities to ensure our community are consulted on key projects, opportunities and issues that affect them.


  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive job related experience in marketing, communications, branding, Public Relations, or creative industries or a similar field.
  • Substantial and demonstrated experience in a government or corporate communications/marketing role.
  • Proven experience providing leadership to a multidisciplinary team.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral and the ability to work as an effective and cooperative team member.
  • Commitment to role modeling our values of: Respect, Integrity, Optimism, Trust and Teamwork.
  • COVID19 Vaccination or medical contraindication upon commencement.
