About the role:


The purpose of this position is to carry out business engagement activities including economic research and demographic analysis to support investment attraction, business information, expansion and retention activities in the Hills Shire LGA.


Duties include:

  • Support the Senior Coordinator
  • Economic Development in delivering Council's Business Support, Business Partnership and Investment Attraction Programs.
  • Contribute to economic development and marketing projects to increase awareness of the Hills Shire as a business location.
  • Conduct economic research and analysis of projects and initiatives as required by Council.
  • Build local partnerships with business associations through collaboration and networking
  • Conduct business engagement visits as required with potential and existing businesses at business locations and at Council as required.
  • Develop and facilitate business education activities to support the growth and skill level of local businesses.
  • Contribute to the promotion of the Shire's Visitor economy /tourism.
  • Coordinate the Dural Heritage Interpretation Centre and deliver the activities of the volunteer program.

About you:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Bachelors Degree in business, economics, commerce, marketing or equivalent
  • Familiarity with The Hills Shire and at least 2 years work experience

Position details:
