About the role

Main tasks: Develop, implement, and facilitate the company's environmental, health, and safety programs and policies.

Other tasks:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive environmental, health and safety training and awareness programs
  • Serve as a safety role model, promoting proactive risk management
  • Enhance and implement global standards, policies, and procedures
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to uphold and improve safety standards
  • Conduct and facilitate investigations and risk assessments for incidents and hazards
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with the site's critical risk program
  • Conduct regular EHS audits and prepare for internal and external audits
  • Coordinate essential safety training across various sites
  • Maintain and update the safety management system

What you must have to apply for this role:

  • Qualifications in occupational health & safety (EHS) or a related field
  • Demonstrable experience as an EHS professional
  • The ability to write and implement policies and procedures
  • Proficiency in compliance and systems to monitor and measure environmental safety outcomes

You will be highly regarded if you also have:

  • Experience working within a manufacturing or similar high-risk environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence safety culture within an organisation
  • Knowledge of safety management systems, particularly Intelex
