Public Sector People are seeking a dynamic and versatile Human Resources Officer to join Council's Corporate Services Directorate. As an integral part of the Human Resources team, you will provide comprehensive HR support across various functions including recruitment, agency staff management, HR administration, and assisting leaders with "how to use" Council's HRIS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with HR administration tasks and support HR projects.
  • Support recruitment strategies, coordinate processes, and prepare documentation.
  • Ensure HRIS is updated and maintain HR databases and systems.
  • Assist with workforce relations programs and provide administrative support.
  • Maintain compliance with HR policies and legislative requirements

Key Requirements:

  • Commitment to quality customer service principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of HR practices and the ability to prepare reports and analyse information.
  • Experience in recruitment, including writing job advertisements, short-listing candidates
  • Proven ability to manage work autonomously and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to form strong relationships across all levels of an organisation
