About the role
This is a full-time maximum term contract to 31st August 2023, location flexible.

You will be a part of the National Safeguarding Unit (NSU) in the National Restrictive Practices Team supporting and enabling the NSU and Client Services to meet their reporting requirements to the National Disability Insurance Scheme Quality and Safeguards Commission (NDISC) and other relevant bodies as required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment and follow up of information and incidents to determine reporting requirements
  • Undertake reporting to the NDIS Commission regarding regulated restrictive practices
  • Undertake other internal and external reporting, including the uploading of relevant information and documents to relevant systems
  • Provide advice and support to client services staff regarding reporting requirements and associated policies and procedures
  • Maintain and monitor records and systems
  • Provide direct and indirect support and training for Client Services staff to access systems, create records and access data
  • Generate routine and ad hoc reports as required
  • Use data to identify and escalate systemic issues, risks, and noncompliance with LWB policy and procedure and legislation.
  • Assisting with responses to the National Disability Insurance Scheme Quality and Safeguards Commission and other regulatory bodies
  • Maintain positive working relationships with Client Services and other key stakeholders and LWB business partners

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in, and working knowledge of, the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework and reporting requirements
  • Demonstrated experience of working in the disability service sector
  • Experience in incident assessment and / or behaviour support and restrictive practices
  • Proficient ability in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs, specifically Outlook and Excel
  • Welldeveloped analytical and problem solving skills, with excellent attention detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to manage a diverse program of work with competing priorities, in an agile and dynamic work environment, delivering high quality outcomes within timeframes
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
