As a Growth Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for driving accelerated growth in Databricks' long tail of accounts to help onboard and build the next big accounts of the future.

This role is an excellent fit for anyone looking to grow in their sales career and build their understanding of how to drive a consumption sales motion in Databricks before going into a formal AE role.


The impact you will have:

  • You will work on accounts that are spending between $DBU's a month, aiming to "graduate" these accounts to spending >1000 $DBU's a month at which point you will handover to your AE peer.

You will do this through:
- engaging in early stage customer accounts finding new use cases and teams
- leveraging 1 to many resources like enablement, training and engineering office hours to help up-skill your customers and ensure they are well set up to scale on Databricks as a platform
- creating a focused and positive early customer engagement experience
- working closely with regional partners to ensure the customers have local support with high skill available to them

What we look for:

  • Min 1 or more years experience carrying and exceeding strategic goals
  • Min 1 or more years experience following sales methodologies
  • Experience starting a territory from scratch
  • Prior success in big data, Cloud, or SaaS sales
  • Experience exceeding sales quotas
  • Success in driving upsell and expansion opportunities within an install base of customers
  • Highlevel understanding of cloud technologies
  • Bachelor's Degree
