An exciting opportunity is available for a commercially minded Sales Specialist to be responsible for the assistance of Sales teams; supporting tactical marketing and field support as required on our Quality Control and Informatics portfolio.
Responsibilities include:
- _ Technical product_ specialist to sales team and implement selling strategies to win greater market share for assigned product portfolio
- Drive _Informatics_ demos, sales presentations and tender response to achieve sales targets
- Assist Product Managers in formulating and executing the tactical marketing activities(conduct market research, focus product initiatives, quarterly specials and product evaluations) to generate sales leads and expand the business
- Assist in developing and conducting technical and sales training programs for internal sales during Business Review Meetings
- Assist in the preparation and participation at conferences, roadshows and seminars
- Maintain excellent market knowledge of all major prospects and local competitor activities and report this information to the Sales Manager and Product Manager.
- Assist in identification of key customer reference sites and support appropriately to retain and build relationship
- Tertiary qualifications in a Laboratory Medical Science discipline, or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills
- Extensive laboratory and Quality Control Management experience
- Experience at building and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Good organizational and planning skills, as well as demonstration of initiative
- Strong proactive approach to work, skills in project management and high level computer literacy and software skills.
This role has responsibility for being in the field in order to drive sales activities in this portfolio (expected to be around 60% time in field).

Position Summary:
- What is the primary purpose of this position?_
This role is to assist as high level expert to assist Sales teams; support tactical marketing and field support as required:
The position will be primarily responsible for, but not limited to:
- Working with the Sales team to drive Sales in the Quality Control and Informatics portfolio
- Working with Product Managers in the execution of tactical marketing activities to drive sales
- Development of training programs to assist staff development and external customers
