YOUR ROLE

The Fleet Controller in our Ground Transport division in Orchard Hills, NSW, is responsible for planning daily deliveries on the local and regional PUD fleet, ensuring optimal utilization of CEVA sub-contractors and contract carriers while meeting customer and statutory requirements.

Ordinary working hours for this role are Mon-Fri, 5 am - 1 pm.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • Plan and manage timely freight deliveries to meet DIFOT and cost targets
  • Arrange additional transport when needed
  • Ensure the dispatching depot receives necessary manifests and paperwork
  • Communicate with depot supervisors to ensure timely vehicle loading
  • Report incidents, hazards, and non-compliances promptly and take corrective actions
  • Resolve service and operational issues efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and company regulations
  • Complete critical processes in the Transport Management System within set timeframes

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our ideal candidate has experience in fleet planning or coordination roles in the transport sector:

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and willingness to learn new systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and suggest solutions

Candidates must provide proof of work rights, professional referees, and undergo a medical assessment and police check.
